
Getting out of this dark place may feel impossible as you might not know where to begin or nothing seems to help. Sometimes the mere thought of talking about your situation is overwhelming, confusing, or embarrassing, as even the littlest things send us into a downward spiral.
One activity I used to do was play some music and with a blown up balloon I would float or hit the balloon around the room in time or sometimes out of time to the music. Looking back I realised this exercise brought me into awareness and out of my head and its crazy thoughts.
Here’s another activity that may work for you.
1. Watch the sunrise (until it’s just above the horizon) and/or sunset; or
2. Sit in front of a candle for 10 minutes morning and/or night watching the flame.
As you breathe in visualise or feel the light and warmth going into your heartspace. Repeat either activity for 28 days and notice the difference.
Light therapy such as exposure to sunlight and if sunlight is not available sitting near a fireplace or staring into a candle can assist with the experience of depression, stress and flatness.

During a treatment you simple rest your body (there’s no need to talk). You remain fully clothed. The practitioner rests their hands on areas of your body (head, torso, feet), and your body automatically draws the natural energy, allowing you to heal.
