Simple breathing meditation for relaxation
An easy meditation for you to try at anytime of the day or night, is to stop what you are doing and take 10 slow deep breaths. Breath out as slowly as possible. Notice what thoughts are passing through your mind, without judging them as good or bad or without trying to hold onto them. Simply observe them for what they are, accepting them and letting them go.
Meditation for wellness and joy
Light therapy such as exposure to sunlight and if sunlight is not available sitting near a fireplace or staring into a candle can assist with the experience of depression, stress and flatness.
Sit in front of a candle for 10 minutes morning and/or night watching the flame. As you breathe in visualise or feel the light and warmth going into your heartspace. Repeat either activity for 28 days and notice the difference.
Self-healing meditation
As you breathe in, imagine or feel beautiful, clean, fresh air filling up your lungs. Breath out effortlessly and without strain.
Now as you breathe in, visualise or feel the clean fresh air going to each and every cell in your body. Giving you oxygen, energy and life…. restoring your blood and cells to perfect health. Breathe in deeply imagining the oxygen flowing to every cell in your body – spreading from your lungs to your heart, to your stomach, down your legs to the tips of your toes, and all the way up your body from your heart to your shoulders and down your arms, through your elbows, hands and tips of your fingers, your upper back, middle back and lower back, your neck, face, and head... until your whole body is filled with beautiful fresh oxygen. Visualise that oxygen going to every, single cell within your body.
As the oxygen passes through your body imagine beautiful golden light shining on any little dark spots within your body. You may start to visualise your individual cells as healthy, strong and happy. Maybe they have smiley faces, dancing around with joy, laughing, being joyful and happy.
Allow yourself to let go of the past with all its regrets and limitations, fear and anger. You may have feelings of rejection, abandonment, or that you’re not good enough, just breathe it out and let it go. And then give yourself permission to have the freedom to live your life right now. This is your life, not the past, not the future, it’s happening right now. Simply embrace your life knowing that it is safe for you to be here right now.
